OWIE...

We took the girls a couple of weekends ago to go see the Bee Movie. They gave us some balloons and some tattoos for the girls. Kamden just insisted that tattoos hurt when you put them on.( We had a talk about real tattoos and how they work not to long ago) We tried to convince her that they didn't hurt and they wash off, they are just for fun. So we said "look we will put one on Aspen and she will think it is neat, watch Kamden" Well she didn't seem to mind and then she looked down at her arm and said OWIE and then the tears started to come. I was starting to feel like I was a mean mom for making my daughter have a fake tattoo. Needless to say Kamden was not convinced that they didn't hurt, so Brock put one on his arm to match Aspen. Aspen thought that was pretty cool and every 5 minutes she would lift her shirt and show us her arm and then come over and lift his shirt to see his matching one. I finally had to scub her tattoo off her arm because she still thought it was an Owie. She would bring me bandaids to put on her tattoo. I don't think we will be doing any more tattoos for awhile at our house. What was supposed to be fun turned to a dramatic experience. I guess that is what happens when you have two daughters. :)

That's funny. When I was a gymnastic coach for little kids, the gym used to call them "body stickers". It helped them to know that they go on skin instead of clothes- but like a sticker they would come off. Don't know if that's helpful. We don't do body stickers around here either. The mixed message is tough to understand for a kid. Your pictures are so cute! Love the blog.

Daddy to the Rescue! Tell Kamden to stop being a Wus! Because she's being a wus, it's causing you to experiment on the other one. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? The big one shows the little one that things done hurt? hmmmm....

Never a dull moment at your house. What a girl with personality. I love it. It reminds me of the time we fed the dog liver to show you kids that even "Ginger" likes it. Haha! she spit it right out.
Love to all,
